My journey to counseling
I have always been the person people came to for advice. Even with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, my desire to help and advise others remained strong. I observed that secular solutions often provided temporary fixes, failing to address the root of the problem. Having always known God, I've experienced His provision of real, lasting solutions. My passion grew from a deep desire to help people connect with their Creator and understand that only He holds the answers to their challenges. God's word, the Bible, offers simple yet profound solutions to all of life's sensitive situations. What I love most is helping individuals find genuine, lasting solutions, not just temporary relief.
A unique approach to healing
My counseling style stands out because I am empathetic and non-judgmental. Beyond therapeutic techniques, I bring a unique spiritual insight from God, which empowers me to help others. I believe that quitting is never an option; if we persevere and do the work, desired results are within reach. Healing and wholeness are always just a prayer and a process away. I am here to guide you through that process with care and understanding.
My qualifications and experience
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in psychology, along with a Master's and Doctorate in Theology. I am a Board-Certified Christian Counselor. My professional background includes extensive experience in mental health, having served as a youth counselor, a coordinator for a boys' residential facility, and a counselor at a girls' residential facility. I have facilitated the "8 Habits of a Healthy Relationship" class by Franklin Covey, and trained and taught foster parents. Additionally, I am a certified instructor in Active Parenting for all ages and an ordained Pastor, holding numerous other certifications dedicated to helping people. My diverse background allows me to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
